Trayven Howard and I enjoyed a day of fishing on a private pond this week as we field tested a new product from Snap Tail Lures.
We landed eight bass to more than five pounds in one hour of fishing the new product and it was the only lure we could catch more than one fish.
The Snap Tail is unique in that it is designed to curl up, much like a live worm does when a hook is inserted. These soft plastic baits, available in six colors, can be rigged as weedless bait, drop shot rig, Texas rig or Carolina rigged with great success.
The tail will straighten when pulled by the angler, then recoils when the pressure is let off.
The Snap Tail also comes with interchangeable plastic discs that can be snapped onto the tail of the bait, adding an additional color to the bait. It emits light rays underwater to make the lure more visible in dingy water.
The Snap Tail is made of very tough, yet soft material that can be used over and over. Colors available include: sapphire blue, black neon, smoke silver, watermelon seed, green pumpkin and June bug.
The Snap Tail worm has a broad flat tail that slithers through the water resembling a snake or large eel.
